United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

The women are active at the unit, district, and conference levels through spiritual retreats, School of Christian Missions, Nebraska annual meetings, and National Assembly.

The South Gate United Methodist Women unit meetings are held the second Thursday of February, May, September, and November at 7:00 p.m. and December at 6:30 p.m. All women are invited to attend and to join United Methodist Women.

Small group meetings are held at the church:

Martha Circle meets the first Monday (except July and December) at 7:30 p.m.

Searchers Circle meets the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m.

Areas of giving by the South Gate United Methodist Women include:

  • Day Care Home Project
  • Epworth Village
  • The Gathering Place
  • Church Women United
  • Nebraska Wesleyan University Scholarship Fund
  • The Unit gives in all seven channels of undesignated giving.
